Does eFuneral show information for all funeral homes in my neighborhood?
We provide funeral planners with basic contact information for all funeral homes across the country. And, for the markets that we’ve expanded to, we list general pricing information for all funeral homes, except those that refused to provide us with that information. Additionally, we provide more detailed funeral service information for those funeral homes that are members of the eFuneral Network.

Are the prices listed for specific funeral homes on eFuneral the prices I can expect to pay if I move forward with any one of those funeral homes?
According to The Funeral Rule, enforced by the Federal Trade Commission, funeral homes are required to provide funeral planners with their itemized prices via a general price list. In addition to the general prices list, many funeral homes offer packages of commonly selected goods and services. For the markets that we’ve expanded to, eFuneral publishes general price lists for all funeral homes, except those that refused to provide us with that information. Package pricing is only listed for those funeral homes that have signed up as eFuneral members. Funeral planners may submit an inquiry to eFuneral members for a custom quote.

I found a funeral home I like. What do I do next?
Great! Your next step is to contact the funeral home directly regarding the services you are interested in. When you meet with the funeral director, you should let him or her know the specific items on the general price list or the specific package that you would like to select. Additionally, be sure to ask any final questions you may have regarding the funeral arrangements.

Funeral services vary from family to family depending on religious or cultural traditions, costs, and personal preferences. Our aim is to put you in control of the funeral planning process and help you make more informed decisions regarding your funeral arrangements. No. If you would like to redeem an offer, simply click to select the deal, then print it out or copy the redemption code and present it to the business (in-person or over the phone) to get the deal.

What is eFuneral?
eFuneral is a comprehensive online resource that enables those thinking about end-of-life to research, plan, and arrange a wide variety of funeral-related services. We provide visitors to our site with the information and advice they need to make more informed decisions. And, we aim to save funeral planners time, money, and headache through the use of our funeral home comparison tool, merchant offers, and resource center.

Who are you?
The eFuneral team is passionate about innovation, creative problem solving, and helping individuals. Native Clevelanders, Mike Belsito and Bryan Chaikin founded the company in 2011 to help families and individuals through a most painful process and a great period of need – funeral planning. Prior to eFuneral, Mike and Bryan worked together at Findaway World, a consumer products company founded in 2005 and repeatedly ranked by Inc. as one of the nation’s fastest growing companies. Mike began at Findaway World as its first full-time hire and later became the national sales manager and product innovation manager. Bryan began at Findaway World as the technology manager and later became the manager of product development and manager of engineering.

After an unexpected death in Mike’s family left him scrambling to find the right funeral home in his neighborhood, Mike and Bryan brainstormed the best ways to solve the deeply distressing problem of accessing pricing and service quality information about local funeral homes. The two came up with a novel solution – eFuneral. So, what began as a big idea has evolved into a thriving business that puts consumers in control of the funeral planning process.
