Following Successful Cleveland, Ohio Launch, eFuneral Expands into Columbus, Ohio to help area funeral planners find, compare, and select local funeral homes.
In February 2012, eFuneral (www.efuneral.com), a comprehensive online end-of-life planning resource, launched its online funeral planning platform into the Cleveland, Akron, and Canton markets. Since then, the company has successfully added dozens of area funeral homes to its network and has helped hundreds of individuals compare local funeral homes based on price, service options, and service quality. The Cleveland-based firm, co-founded by Mike Belsito and Bryan Chaikin, is moving into Central Ohio where the company took part in the State of Ohio’s 10-xelerator New Venture Accelerator.
During the summer of 2011, Belsito and Chaikin moved from Cleveland to Columbus in order to take part in the 10-week intensive development program, sponsored by the Ohio Third Frontier. “It will be great to have the chance to work in Columbus again,” says Chaikin. “The funeral directors in the area have been very supportive and provided us with invaluable feedback while we were developing the business. And we know we can help Columbus area individuals who are undecided about which funeral home to use just as we’ve helped those in Northeast Ohio.”
